The Importance of Self Care

Posted by Carson Bruner on

We love all things skincare here at Madi Bella, but we’re also big believers in taking care of our entire bodies. One of the reasons we’re passionate about skincare is because it's our favorite form of self-care. There’s seriously nothing better than going through a relaxing night-time skincare routine — using products like our gentle facial cleansing gel before applying our balancing moisturizer

Self-care looks different for everyone. Some people may exercise as a form of self-care — others might drink a glass of wine while reading a good book. There’s no right way to take the time to care for yourself. The only right way is to listen to your mind, body, and soul so you can do whatever feels best for you at that moment.

It’s really easy to get caught up in our hectic schedules, but we want to emphasize taking time for yourself. So, please take this blog post as your sign! Set some time aside to do whatever will make you light up inside. You’ll feel a million times better after you’ve paused to give yourself a little self-love and self-care.

So, self-care isn’t selfish. In fact, self-care is the opposite of selfishness because it allows you to be better for yourself and other people. If you’re burnt out because you didn't take the time to take care of yourself, you won’t be able to live your life to its fullest extent.

Self-care has a significant impact on your quality of life. You know what they say — the happiest people have the best skin because they glow from the inside out. Practice self-care for a healthier, happier you!

“With every act of self-care your authentic self gets stronger, and the critical, fearful mind gets weaker. Every act of self-care is a powerful declaration: I am on my side, I am on my side, each day I am more and more on my own side.” - Susan Weiss Berry
