How to Get Glowing Skin

Posted by Carson Bruner on

We all want glowing skin — but how exactly do we achieve that goal? While there are different skin types, there are some fundamental steps that everyone should take towards healthier, glowing skin. Follow these steps to see a noticeable difference in your skin’s health:

1. Drink Plenty Of Water

We’re always thinking of topical products to place on our skin, but we often forget about the importance of other habits that affect our skin’s appearance and overall health. According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, skin contains 64% water. Your skin relies on proper hydration (about 10-12 glasses of water daily) to help flush toxins and rejuvenate your skin from the inside out.

2. Face Massage

Did you know that giving yourself a massage will rejuvenate your skin? Molly R. Stern, a celebrity makeup artist who works with Cara Delevingne, told Glamour Magazine her go-to step towards glowing skin: “Using your fingertips, massage a serum or oil into your face before applying makeup. The stimulation can help get the blood moving to wake up your whole complexion.”

We recommend our Madi Bella Vitamin C Serum for a lovely face massage that will leave you with healthy and bright skin!

3. Exfoliate

Are you exfoliating your skin too much or too little? You should be sure to implement an exfoliant into your morning skincare routine, so you can get your skin ready for the day. Cosmetic and medical dermatologist, Hadley King, spoke to Vogue Magazine: “At night, your skin regenerates — old cells die, new cells grow, and then you wake up, and you have dead skin cells — so I want to remove it so that everything penetrates better.” Your skin will glow when the dead skin cells are removed, leaving only the healthy skin cells left!
